TX Ds doing presser now on R response to winter crisis. @JulianCastro: "Do not ever put people in charge of gov't who do not believe in gov't. Abbott & R leaders will fail you every time b/c they could care less about doing their job & they've shown that over the last few days."

Stop voting for Republicans! https://t.co/3RpYjaaMzR

Becoming painfully obvious the true corrosive impact of the rise of right wing media is a generation of conservative politicians who think their only job is to emulate and echo it. When circumstances actually call them to govern and lead, they’re completely lost.

Even worse, it’s what their constituents want them to do. They don’t want them to lead, they don’t want them to enact legislation, they don’t want them to solve problems. They want them on Fox News, shitposting on Twitter and owning the Libs. That’s all that matters. https://t.co/tsyLEVTgK5

I give my cat fair warning whether the incoming is friend or foe, so it’s kind of shitty but he feels like he can blame me for his miscalculation.

@CNNPolitics it was planned holiday. How could he predict winter disaster? Blaming a Senator for spending time with family. New LOW for slave media.

This is what he can do it. This. https://t.co/bp6806p5gD

@FoxNews So what? Last I checked it was Texas renewal energy not working which Cruz is against, and last I check he isn't an installer.

This is why a politician a slimy is Ted Cruz can leave his constituents to die without a care in the world. Thanks, Fox News. https://t.co/276PQmGWuz

What a complete failure by Democratic leadership. What is the point of a majority if you constantly act as if you are the minority?

The 6 Jan attack on the Capitol was far more dangerous than most realize And we have a criminal justice system in place to address it

This person should not be in office if he doesn’t want to do his fucking job. https://t.co/1Kv8gHpN64

Probably the story of our time in politics is that the Republican Party is radicalizing around an explicitly anti-democratic violent white nationalist ideology, and that most of elite establishment media is uninterested or editorially incapable of accurately telling that story

The single most consequential question in US politics right now may be whether Democrats are prepared to accept and act upon the full implications of the GOP's ongoing radicalization: https://t.co/9egemSj1we

The capital of the United States of America has been turned into a military zone and there’s a massive fascist movement threatening shared society because the wealthy and powerful created an alternate reality where they could maintain power and direct anger away from themselves.

No one who objected to certification of the election can call for “unity” until they publicly acknowledge that Biden lawfully won the election and is the legitimate President. That is the necessary first step towards unity. It has not happened yet.

The most effective act of unity would be for Trump, Hawley, Cruz, Trump Jr., McCarthy, etc to tell the truth and state bluntly and unequivocally that Biden won in a landslide in a free and fair election. No more ambiguity about these facts. That would be a real act of unity.

Hey, I know it's late, but Democrats had an extremely concerning briefing tonight where Capitol Police detailed three different potentially gruesome plots. One involves encircling the Capitol and assassinating Democrats on their way into the building. https://t.co/LN5grOeUIM

Dear @GOPLeader: So you want to lower the temperature? How about you go on TV and say: -there was no mass voter fraud -thousands of dead people didn’t vote -voting machines didn’t switch votes That’s how you stop the violent part of your base from acting on the big lie. https://t.co/Ev3wgPl5bE

If impeaching Trump would "further divide the country," as Republicans claim, then what did the GOP think challenging Biden's election win would do?

Congrats to Trump on his first ever consequence

A speech he was desperately forced to give, yet still filled with lies, has zero relevance on the clear and present danger he represents. He must be removed. And Josh Hawley can pick fights with publishers and Ted Cruz with @AOC, but we will never move on from what you did.

Impeachment or 25th amendment. Either is fine. Must happen now. Trump shouldn't be in office another day.

A note to Republicans with presidential ambitions, if you vote to impeach and remove Trump, he is barred from ever holding office again. Just a thought!
