Fun Fact

Barack Obama's victory tweet was the most retweeted tweet ever with more than 800K retweets.

The Democrats had grounds to impeach Trump from Day 1 of his presidency—he'd lied to America about his intent to violate the Emoluments Clause—but they didn't try to do so. Trump accused them of it anyway. Well, Biden can now make the same claim honestly. https://t.co/4CAY30GGHw

Unlike Trump, who was unwilling to criticize Russia, @jrpsaki says Biden has asked the U.S. intelligence community for a full assessment of:

- The SolarWinds hack
- Russian interference in the 2020 election
- The poisoning of Navalny
- Bounties on US troops https://t.co/N1qrfwYgug

I don't think I fully realized before today how vitally important daily press briefings are for our democracy. Watching the Biden administration hold itself accountable to the media with earnestness, transparency and eloquence is actually a pretty moving experience at this point.

(PROOF) A question that will hang over Trump's coming second impeachment trial is one we must discuss publicly: is it ever acceptable to question the conduct of an American election? The answer is yes—but with some important exceptions. See below for more: https://t.co/7rdBsPnXW1

President Biden has removed the Diet Coke button. When @ShippersUnbound and I interviewed Donald Trump in 2019, we became fascinated by what the little red button did. Eventually Trump pressed it, and a butler swiftly brought in a Diet Coke on a silver platter. It's gone now. https://t.co/rFzhPaHYjk

Quoted @LeaderMcConnell

Minority rights on legislation are key to the Senate. President Biden spent decades defending them. More than two dozen Senate Democrats backed them just four years ago. This isn't complicated. Simply reaffirming that Democrats won't break the rules should not be a heavy lift.

Mitch McConnell wields power like he's Ivan the Terrible or Attila the Hun when he's in power. The second he's not, he acts like the biggest snowflake U.S. politics has ever seen. Enough—no one is fooled by his Jekyll-and-Hyde act. Democrats must treat Mitch like the snake he is. https://t.co/2toZ2xhL7j

Biden says death toll from pandemic probably will top 500,000 next month, says it will take months ‘for us to turn things around’ https://t.co/RIk20lOCN6

It's sad to think how quickly Republicans will begin attributing the pandemic toll to Biden, largely because they've denied for a year how disastrous Trump's pandemic response was. America must understand that the Biden administration is presently at least *6 months* in the hole. https://t.co/BYU0jAlnkU

CNN reports that Jacob Chansley—the "QAnon Shaman"—has not only been photographed with Giuliani; was not only one of the first insurrectionists into the Capitol; but was at Trump's Jan. 4 Georgia rally, where Don's girlfriend began her speech with, "Where are my *soldiers* at?" https://t.co/iBhseIJuZK

While we can't pretend that McConnell's habitual BS gamesmanship in Washington is as dangerous as the daily atrocities of deed and policy of the former president, we *must* remember that McConnell is now playing his usual games as over 4,000 Americans are dying daily of COVID-19.
