Fun Fact

That's a 78% increase in the number of heads of state and national governments on Twitter from 2011. Which means Twitter is taking over the world. And we're ok with that.

It just hit me that the people buying fake vaccination cards are literally the same people who complain about undocumented immigrants using fake documents.

Sooooo...@MeghanMcCain Is 2024 about “taking back power in DC” or about working for the safety and health of the citizens of this country? This is not a joust for winning. It’s a gathering to work toward the good for all of us. Refocus this mess.

Who is responsible for designing the new star configuration when DC and PR become states?

Ok. The defense questions to “use of force” expert are giving me a headache. Kudos to the expert for not letting the lawyer put words in his mouth.

Quoted @SenJohnThune

I started working by bussing tables at the Star Family Restaurant for $1/hour & slowly moved up to cook – the big leagues for a kid like me– to earn $6/hour. Businesses in small towns survive on narrow margins. Mandating a $15 minimum wage would put many of them out of business. https://t.co/izQDOGRAH1

When I started working at a gift shop as a kid, I was paid $0/hour because it was a family business. A scoop of ice cream was .25 cents. Why is this relevant? Well, it’s not. Because $6 forty years ago is worth $21.62 today. It’s way past time to pass a $15 minimum wage. https://t.co/6ykW4Ug3Zl

Re more communication among FBI, National Security, and Capitol Police...You do realize that the first two entities may be aware of inside knowledge/participation of people IN THE CAPITOL ITSELF that precludes complete details being shared with the latter.

The term “patriot” has begun to nauseate me...kind of like “comrade” when I was growing up in the 50s.

Harking back to judging high school speech tournaments. Cringing.

Does the Senate floor have an official photographer for proceedings? I would love to get a gander of those who are sitting at their desks and in the gallery.

Kind of telling that we are focused on the way the two fellows on the R side drink their water rather than mulling the words they spew at random. Perhaps if either of them made sense, we would listen to the "lot of words" in their presentation.

I judged high school speech tournaments: 45's lawyer would not have gotten more that 1 point out of 5. We give 1's to those who show up, and we fill a critique sheet with LOTS of advice to improve performance.

When a speaker begins to cite examples for support then says "I can't recall off the top of my head" how that went, I begin daydreaming.

What does “I was allowed to believe ...” actually mean? Seriously, do I have the wrong definition of “allowed” in my head?

Questions: When is the vote for Marjorie D Greene's committee removal and will it be televised?
