I guess if churches want to get political we should ask them about their policy stance on taxation…

Oakland County, Michigan — a longtime suburban Republican stronghold — went blue in 2020. Here's how it happened and what it tells us about the Republican Party’s continuing collapse in America’s suburbs. https://t.co/Woh8S2t2Mx

WOW what a fabulous deep-dive on Oakland County's shift to BLUE! 💙 Featuring @MariManoogian, @MalloryMcMorrow & @davidwcoulter. #Michigan @migop https://t.co/XLUJfPOnA9

Michigan politicians who make $72,000 a year plus all kinds of perks just voted to strip $300 a week in temporary help away from unemployed folks, knowing it’s doomed to be vetoed. They just wanted to make the point that they’re wildly out of touch.

A federal judge wants every attorney whose name was on court filings seeking to overturn Michigan's presidential election results in the "Kraken" suit there to show up for a sanctions hearing on July 6. https://t.co/816zUMHZ4l

Last night, @RepWalberg had another telephone town hall. My neighbor who recorded the ones in Feb & May got called again for this one but couldn’t record it. There’s no reason for Walberg to not announce & livestream these events like every other MI Congress member (but Bergman).

Today, the first three Republican Election bills are up for a vote in the State Senate, SB 285, 303, and 304 and they are leading with some of the most suppressive bills. #mileg #elections 🧵👇

How many people voted absentee in Nov. 2020? 3,287,576. Under bill sent to House, they'd no longer just be able to sign application. They'd have to submit copy of ID or driver's license number or last 4 digits of Social Security # or verify identity later

3.28 million Michigan voters may find it a little harder to cast an absentee ballot next year if this Senate-passed legislation becomes law. https://t.co/pJevtBXCnp

The governor continuing good faith budget negotiations while Republicans continue slamming her and passing the Unlock petition and voter ID is a real strong tell of who the adult in the room is here

There’s not a worker shortage problem in this country. There’s an exploiting workers through poverty wages, union-busting tactics, bad policies, wage gaps, lack of healthcare, and child care problem in this country. Radical idea here: Take care of your employees, not your CEOs

Thanks to Michigan @UAPipeTrades for having me today. We've saved workers’ pensions through the American Rescue Plan and passed Buy American and prevailing wage provisions in the recent competitiveness bill, but there's still work to do. I'll always fight for Michigan workers. https://t.co/kzOMudUOvF

18,000 Michiganders with catastrophic auto accident injuries are struggling to figure out how to get essential care after July 1. Whether you supported auto insurance ‘reforms’ or not, it’s unconscionable to yank care away from disabled people. There are solutions. 🧵🧵⬇️ https://t.co/P8xOzIxjQz

Passing SB 314 or HB 4486 would spare auto accident victims *who depend on this care* needless suffering. @GovWhitmer has urged us to put a solution on her desk but the bills languish in committee because top republicans want to wait and see. #WeCantWait https://t.co/hL3MobWCED

As if folks don’t have enough to do already to pay close attention to what’s happening in the #mileg, it’s also important to pay attention to what’s happening in #education & at the State Board of Education. (1/7: A🧵👇🏾)

Too bad this could never happen in the #mileg. We'd love to see insurrectionist cheerleader Matt Maddock expelled from the Michigan House. We'll have to do the next best thing and replace him in 2022. @MichiganTea @IndivisibleMich @SWIMIndivisible https://t.co/fwW1RKHSr1
